They are not spring loaded yet, I know how to do it, I just haven"t yet. Here is how the latch works.

the handle is usually in the down position.

I'll probably add torsion springs to the bearing assembly, then they will open automatically when you pull the lever.

Top Dog- Have you looked into marketing them? They're cleaner than most designs I've seen out there. I'm within 2 hours if you need a test market! 547228

I have had alot of intrest in them but honestly I don't have the time to mass produce them. The hardest part is the strike plate because it's welded to the frame, but that could be made into a bolt-on bracket. Everything was bought at local hardware stores, there are no special order parts, I only have about $350 in them and about 2 whole days of work. We only used a wire welder, a drill and an angle grinder. We bent all of the bars with the rzr, sticking it in the open pipes in the back on the bottom and stepping on them, real redneck ingunity, lol. I coated the frames in a spray on plastic dip stuff and vinyl wrapped the skins.

I just got the arm rests back from the upholstry shop, they cost $10 for both.

I'd be happy to share any of the building info with anyone that would like more info.

I cut a piece of 1/8 steel, drilled then holes, got longer bolts, welded the bearing sleave on, then drilled through it. There are 2 bearings inside the sleave, washers and a spacer. The hardest part is getting the plate bent at the angle you want so the doors do not rub on anything when they open.

Maybe if you get some time and want to share all the info you could post a write up in the mod and fab section on your door build. Im sure many would be interested. thanks for sharing 431114

SDR motorsports does some of these but they are built into the cage. they are working on a stand alone set due this summer. I just ordered the ITI doors but If I see a set like this , I'll snatch up a set of those too. NICE WORK BRO !
