| New Arctic Cat SxS, wonder if will be released? Supposed to compete with the XP with a 2012 release.

| Polaris sucks as bad as the artic cat, until sxsides came out polaris were one of the biggest pieces of shit that were ever unloaded off a trailor. Its just a matter of time, polaris will be playing catch up. They have been on top for to many years in the sxs market. | |

| I think its a big mistake to buy anything in its first generation. Now when polaris or any body else comes out with a tried and true high performance side x side in which the drive train is equally matched with the motor, then my eye brows will raise....but until then its all smoke and mirrors to me Arctic Cat: •Complete tube chassis, just like a sand rail. •The most travel 'by far' of any side by side Power steering Uses current prowler 1000 drive system with an HO 1000 motor. •4 wheel drive •LED lighting •Priced less than Polaris 900 •Around 1000lbs •64" wide We'll definitely be hounding Arctic Cat for further details on this new machine so keep checking [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for information as we get it. |

2nd that! But, Polaris needs actual competition to fix mistakes they make.

I hated Polaris products. All my buddies who had Sportsmans were always taking them to the shop. It took me quite awhile to decide to take a chance on my S. I love my S, but I still think there are better quality machines out there. This Cat does look badass though!!

| Ive had a arctic cat and they are way worse than any polaris in reliability, plus they have a very small dealer base, i had at one time 4 within 50 miles now there is only one and they only dable in them and stock no parts. Polaris has improved 1000% since they got serious in 2005 and they keep getting better. | |

You had reliability issues with your A/C? I don't remember you ever mentioning anything about that, especially when the CAT was the "Top Dog" in your eyes. I am sure it will have quirks, just like any other machine. I love my RZR, but it does seem to have some really crappy bushings and things of that nature. As far as the Cat goes, they have been running that 1000 motor for a couple of years. The only thing I can recall hearing is the Thundercat ATV breaking axles because of all the power. I am sure if they are setting this thing up to be run hard in the desert, they will no doubt outfit it with some beefy axles, diffs, and frame material.

Biggest issue i had was getting them to warranty things and finding a dealer to do it. arctic cat has the worst dealer network of any of the main brands. Most of my views on arctic cat came from watching others struggle with theirs after i sold mine.

| You could't give me a Polaris 4 wheeler if I had to keep it and ride it. The Razor is the only Polaris product I can see me owning and even then I am still not happy with the motor, A-arm bushings, front hubs and wheel bearing life. The crank bent on my stock motor in less than 100 miles after the turbo was installed so now I have a Weber. The stock bushings didn't last long till I replaced them with the Racer Tech kit. I replaced the stock hubs with billet ones. I haven't found a fix for the wheel bearings. Some day some company will build something better but for now I will have to stay with the modified RZR.
I thought Can Am would come out with something nice but they missed the mark with the Commander although they do have a good motor but the throttle by wire is a POS.

| after riding a Arctic Cat for 2 years I can say this machine would be very welcome, its much lighter to push or pull and looks to have plenty of grab bars to push from. I sure hope the put some good hooks on the front and the rear of this new machine. if any of the die-hard AC guys ever drove a XP or a S they would throw rocks at the Cat!! | |

| he was shocked when he found out how wide he was. it was 68 when he first put it together and after a few rides and the shocks settled it got wider, mine will probably do the same thing but I check shit like that and tighten them back up a little. but even at his width with NO power steering and pretty much one useful hand he still went everywhere anybody else went, try 112 at Brimstone, now thats some tight shit right there. | |

| LOL, we do carry a chain saw with us, but anytime we used it the S wouldnt fit either its really not that much of a problem, the good by far out weigh the bad. | |
