C.E. is your man! No one on roosters site would ever tell me who-kinda pissed me off. Congrats to C.E. nothing against him but I pretty much had to disrobe to prove I was legal today 205131 job well done C.E. Its not a problem for me to park at family and ride coalcreek for free... Free...Free... But I'm happy of how coalcreek has cleaned up the Mt. so I ablige.

Jerry,

I would not say who it was because the official announcement had not been made by Brent. And it was not up to me to make that announcement and I did not think want to start a debate as to why C.E. got the job and not some other people that may or may not applied for it.

C.E. is not like Fred. Fred was in retirement mode for several years now. We should all embrace the changes because I feel now that things will be more positive. Give the man some time and you will see what I am talking about. He is a really nice guy.

I know Ron.. Its all cool. I could tell that C.E. is a great guy and its good to know that hes doing his job...just aint never had to show my permit in years..Just an inconvience for me to have to dig it out to show him but it really kinda tickeled me in knowing that I haven't been wasting my money on buying permits...you have to understand, I've been riding that Mt since I was 5 years old--started out on a little honda zr-50. My pa-paw mined the moutain and their hous was just up the pavement near rattle rock...so when the land company took over and forced everyone off the Mt, it kinda left a bad taste...but then later it became a dump sight--Coalcreek as cleaned it up and thats why I by yearly permits--and ChrisC thats what I mean by being legal- _Having a permit

Good Deal Jerry, your permit price gets used for alot of different things and just make the riding experience more enjoyable. I mean think about, with so many riding area's being shut down we are fortunate that Coal Creek will always be there to enjoy. That is why I spend alot of time up there maintaining the trails. I am there for you!

Seems that a company would offer a new full time job to their part time people 1st,then hire new part timers next.I guess that's why I'm not a manager. My way of thinking is much different than most management.

I'm sure that I don't.And I don't know CE,and didn't mean any disrespect against him either.
I should have stated that earlier.

That is cool Archie, not saying anything either. I try not think too hard why management does this or that. I just go with the flow and try to keep my little world in order up there. Next time you see CE up there, stop and talk to him. You will find out for yourself then.

CE has done security for them for several years at the events.I would say his performance in that, had alot to do with the job.

I didn't mind paying for the Coal Creek permits I have bought. I don't mind working the events doing the guided rides. I just want them to keep Windrock open so I can have a place to ride. I don't mind being stopped and asked to see my permit. I really think that after C.E. remembers you he won't ask to see it anymore if you have a yearly permit. But, I may be wrong, time will tell. Heck, I know E.T. (the other guard) and he askes to see mine EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY! Now that does seem a little excessive since he knows I have a yearly permit but it doesn't take that long since it is on my key. But sometimes I forget it because I left it on my other ride. Just so everyone is aware, Fred, the guard that just retired and C.E. took his job, used to work Mon-Fri. Brent chaned the schedule so that C.E. works Wed-Sun which means you are going to see a LOT of him on the mountain, not just at the trailhead.

Well normally I'm in my rzr and my key ring is full of old yearly passes along with the current one and who ever is checking can take a quick glance and see it without asking for it but this time I was riding with stacy all suited up with my permit in my pocket. I tried my best not to have to dig it out but C.E. wouldn't let me off the hook so im glad to see he was doing his job..

I will always support coalcreek but regardless if it ever shut down, I will still be riding the mountain somewhere.

We had to leave before you got to the trailhead Saturday since we already planned to meet friends at the top of 22 at 10:00am. We rode part of 22, 41, 26, 44, 48, 49 & 6. Then we rode some WMA trails that are NICE, a little of 116 to Rosedale school then left up the mountain to some places I have never been before (got to watch a guy go over the bars as he couldn't stop at a land slide but he was ok 431114 ) and came out at the county line bridge then up 116 to cross the WMA and came out on 12 then 10, 11 and 33 down to an unmarked trail that comes out at the dumpsters on 116 at Brown Flatts. Then it was down an unmarked "jeep trail" to 116 and then to Gingers for bacon cheeseburgers, onion rings, beer and gas. I can't tell you how good it is to have access to a hot meal and gas! Then it was just a little ways back up 116 to a ATV/UTV trail that was KILLER since it was raining at the time! Then back across 116 at Brown Flats and 28 home. I was showing 74 miles on mine when I got back home.

Roger,

Was the slide area at the creek on Trail 28 still slick. That is where the Tree Root ball had come done......And did you breeze thru Trail 49 on Friday afternoon. A 900XP came flying right thru that slide area. Thought it might be you.

I only ran part of 28 to get home, I didn't go by the tree.

Archie, Mike, Phil and myself did ride 49 but it was around 11:00 am. We were all on 4 wheelers except for Archie.

We made it over the slide on 49 pretty easy but Mike didn't like it AT ALL!

C.E. is a friend of mine. I went through Armed Guard requal with C.E. I'm sure his years of Windrock security experience and ability to deal with people had a lot to do with him being asked to take over security. I believe the idea was to get someone that could take more of a full-time approach to security there. I'm sure CE will do a great job. I've personally watched him deal with the people at the Fall Festival and he will be a good one. He's firm but nice and respectful.

And don't be surprised if you see a certain red RZR S with security lights on it in the near future. lol!

I have never had a problem with C.E. but I wouldn't call working for 3 to 4 days at the Spring and Fall Jams "years of Windrock security experience". 729242
