| Looking at 2014 Can Am. Test drove one and they did there homework. Plus about 2500 less than XP1. 2014 front locks up like true 4 wd with no slip... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> | |

| I drove one also at the test. I was impressed big time. I havent drove a xp1000 to compair it too though. Two things that hold me back is from my understanding the 4wd is limited slip then after it slips a bit it will lock. When I put it in 4wd I want 4wd. Another thing is there is not as many aftermarket companys making stuff for it as the rzr. | |

| All they did was install a "QE" quick engagement front diff. The same one they have had on all the power steering models. They still don't work well. My 1000 Renegade has the QE diff in it. When you are trying to go through a mud hole and not sling crap all over you, you only have 3 wheel drive. They will tell you that the spinning tire only has to turn 3 revolutions before engagement..........bull shit! It may work that way sometimes but not all. I have a renegade with a QE diff, I know. That was the biggest reason I had to buy fender flairs for it. I would get covered in mud from having to gas it in the mud holes. Also, if you let off the gas at all after the engagement you have to start all over again trying to get both wheels to lock. There are a threads on all the Can Am web sites where owners complain about it. There are also threads where people are trying to build electric lockers to go in them. No one has had any luck so far. Personally, I think Yamaha had the best idea with the front diff on their Rhino. It was selectable, disengaged, open (3 wheel drive) or locked, and it worked. | |
