| Had a little issue yesterday riding, the front axle sheared off in the front diff. To get out of the woods I made a hammock of a thing out of bungee cords to hold the axle up. To remove the broken spline I was able to drill and tap it 1/4-20 and screw a bolt in it. On the drilling and tapping I had to engauge the 4wd so the output on that side would not spin while drilling and tapping. I didnt have a slide hammer at the time to I used a pair of vice grips on the bolt and tapped it with a hammer and it came rite out. | I have seen several on fb pages that have done the same thing. These were not stock axles, they were Rhinos. Just one of them situations where I was pushing it a bit too hard. | |

| Yea I was trying a little too hard for sure, I heard it and honestly though it was the diff slipping, it will do that in a bind. I think it did slip but then grabbed and shock loaded the axle. If I can slow down on replacing parts I am going to try and buy a new diff and have it blue printed by a company I found that claims to tighten up all the tolerances and helps to prevent the diff slip. | |

| Ya , but with out any Diff slip , you might just break shit faster. Remember in a bind , something has got to give. I would much rather break an Axel. Than a ring and pinion... | |
