Well , the big hype is over. everyone said how gears would make so much more HP
than CVT , well seems thats not the case , Alba got a new Yamaha 1000R . They dyno ed it ,

And here is what they came up with.

2016 Yamaha 1000r said to have 112 HP on Dyno made 83 HP to the tires

2015 polaris XP 1000 said to have 110 HP on same Dyno made 87 HP to the rear tires.

2016 Polaris XP Turbo said to have 145 HP on Same Dyno made 102 HP to the tires.

Not quite the Game changer everyone seems to think.

if i was picking one to buy today for the riding we all do , I would buy a 2016 silver and lime green XP 1000.... 431114

But i will keep an open mind til we see more real world tests. 248474

Yamaha is built better I would bet if they built it like the other stuff they sell. I want to see one face to face and in action in the woods.
