| Hey guys, when your wife or kids ask what you want for Christmas tell the 2-WAY RADIOS!!!! if you dont have any. On the windrock ride we had a couple of buggy's get lost from the group. I found out about it just a few minutes after they went by the turn and tried to tell them on the radio with no response so i guess they didnt have any. We dont want to ever loose anyone again, a lot of us carry the inexpensive 2 way radios made by, cobra, uniden, Motorola and others and keep them on channel 3. If you miss a turn or break down or have a flat then you can call for help. Some of the guys have the big radios that can reach out for miles but just to let them know while we are close we cant understand anything you say, I and others noticed this so really when travailing with a group the hand helds work better and can be understood. I think the high power ones are overpowering the hand helds at close range causing this problem. So get santa to bring you some 2ways!!!! | |

| The Midlands are good radios. Mine are the GXT850 models. I let stacrzr use one of mine on our ride. He put it in his cupholder and when we all seperate at t16 he went through a deep mud hole and the radio was left in the cup holder full of mud and water that dididn't drain. It stayed there for at least a day or two. I rode my rzr to his house this weekend to get it and it was funny when he said uh....about your radio.. The radio still works perfect and he gave me a set of HD's so I went home happy in more ways than one |
