That is the oil tank for the dry sump system. It is the same tank that is on my turbo Weber.
The difference is that mine is mounted on the front of the "fire wall".
I assume it will be the same ritual I have to go through on mine but maybe not. Before I can check the oil I
have to start the motor and let it run for a couple of minutes. If mine sits for a week or so most of the
oil drains back into the motor so when you check the oil level (a dipstick in the tank, not on the motor)
it will show empty. When I change the oil I have to use a vacuum system to get the oil out of the
tank. Then pull the hot wire off the coil, remove the discharge oil line from the motor to the tank,
turn the motor over and let it pump till all the oil is out of the motor.
This XP is longer than the S. Does anyone know if the bed is longer?
