| I know this is a RZR forrum but like others I still have my rhino "which is for sale" 06 660 stock 720 miles
On our last ride with it at calalantee it lost low end torque but later on another ride was just a little sluggish in low I removed the cvt cover everything looked good other than a little bit of black dust with a small amount of grease on cover. after reading hours of posts on rhino forrums I still don't know what to do!! I thought the secondary spring was supposed to be blue but mine is yellow
Any idea what to look for???

| jerry, you may need to clean the sheave out. the grease turns hard and gets packed with mud sometimes and slows it down. but most of the time it will still have bottom end power but losses top end. did you take the shaft support off ( the thing with 4 legs) if not take it off then take the sheave cover off ( should have 8 phillips screws and an O ring under it) now look to see what the grease looks like. hope this helps. call me today around 4pm . i seen where you called yesterday but got busy and forgot to call before work. | |

| I think Bush is correct here, It will need a very good cleaning and lightly re-grease the sliders and rollers with some Mystic high temp grease. | |

| Yes I took off the sheave bracket but everything was clean and plenty of grease in there the sheave moved freely [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| even if the grease looks good it can still not have full movement. jerry do you want a clutch kit for the rhino? its a ITP sport utility kit from black rhino new in box never installed. i have the spring compresser tool so we can put it in in no time. let me know. i make you one hell of a deal on it. | |

| With the clutch cover off and in neutral, rev the engine and see if the belt goes all the way down the secondary. | |

Clayboy I took the belt off yesterday, but I did what your saying before that only I was looking at the primary and it rode up to the top mark on the sheave ( in pic) so it would have had to went to bottom of secondary right? Hey Bush let me know what you got and $$ I really only want bottom end torque The way I understood from reading was all I need is (orange spring and weights)????

| If the belt traveled all the way to the mark them I would have to say it is working properly. Doesn't hurt to re-grease every 1000 miles or so anyway. | |
