| I have a buddy who has an 08 RZR that is experiencing some shifting issues. He reports that the gears will grind sometimes when shifting through the gears and it will move in reverse without giving it gas. He did install a new belt the other day. Would this cause these issues? Thanks for any help! | |

| sounds like his primary clutch bearing is going bad causing it not to freewheel. | |

| He said he just put a new belt on it. It may be too tight. I put a new belt on my S and it did the same thing. But, I had an STM so I just shimmed the secondary. | |

| Thanks guys. He did put the required Polaris belt back on the machine. If the belt is to tight, is there a way to adjust the tension or does he just need to ride it like he stole it until the belt stretches a little? | |

| Sometimes you have to add or subtract shims on the secondary shaft, but usually only if you change secondary's | |
