Well i did manage to get my new XP1000 today, just not in time to go do the ride...Got the doors, roof and bumper on it today...still waiting on alot of other stuff, including beadlock wheels and 30"roctanes. The machine is very powerful..has alot more midrange torque than my 900, and alot more leg room.

I had the pleasure of riding shotgun in one for about 50 miles yesterday. It''s longer wheelbase gave it a lot better balance, front to rear, than either the 900 or my 800. The suspension is a killer... very impressed with the ride. The turn radius should be greater than the 900, but the driver was either very good or the turn radius is equat to or less than the 900. No pushing in the turns like the 800 or 900, probably due to the better balance. We had talked the owner into unhooking the sway bar because we were headed to so severe rock gardens, the Widowmaker in particular. I rode it up the Widowmaker and I don't think it lifted a tire on that rocky monster. In fact, I don't recall it lifting a tire the entire time I got to ride the beast. The tranny was smooth throughout the power band. It needs more soft splash protection, a good skid, roof, windshields, winch, and bumpers and it'll be good to go.

I'll probably buy one when they get a bit more plentiful... but right now the stealers can't keep them... Tommy has several on backorder already paid for.

From driving it around in the field here at the house. It does seem more balanced and it doesn't push in a turn like my 900. They have kinda done a cab forward thing with it which places more weight on the front. Ride report coming later, we're headed to windrock for a mild test run.

Yes its the lock and ride bumper, it god wedge bolts in it that anchors the bumper to the frame. Its a very solid and easy bolt on.
