| Well , i went and did some test driving and research today , I drove a new 14 black pearl and a 15 red pearl xp 1000 today. ok first off lets just get this out of the way cause i know it will cause shit , but the fact is the fact. The 2015 1000 is far Superior to the 14. First off the 15 will smoke the shit out of the 14 , I don't mean a little i mean a lot. The 14 is fast , but the 15 HO as they call it now is Stupid fast..... I mean on rough pavement the 15 in high gear will about pull the front wheels off the ground. the 14 wont pull this hard. The fit and finish on the 15 is just more polished , the doors shut better the gaps line up better it feels tighter. the axles are a lot bigger. The ball joints look bigger and the 15 now has hiem joints on the steering and the 14 has same old tie rod ends. The compression on the 15 is now 11.1 , the 14 is 10.1 , the 15 has bigger cams and valve springs. you can run regular in a 14 a 15 you must use premium , but its worth it. The whole clutching set up is different in a 15 , you would have to drive it to understand. it has a different helics and belt and of course the cover with the vent is different. I drove a new xp 900 one time. all i can say is you 900 guys need to go drive one of these new 2015 xp 1000's . I thought a xp 900 was fast. There not fast at all compaired to this 15 1000 , the xp 900 and 14 1000 are pretty close taking weight in consideration. But there not in the 2015 1000's league You just need to go test drive one in a place you can open it up , you will be surprised..... I do think the black pearl 14 is the best color for sure. My deal is done on a 2015 xp 1000 , all i got to do is go pick it up.... I think i am going to wait til Christmas , they told me they are going to come out with 2 new colors for the 1000 when they release the 900-S 4 seater around Christmas. if i don't like what they have i guess i will get the red pearl and buy all the graphic for a 14 black pearl and change them and powder coat my spring anything but white.... Oh and the EMP front bumper looks good to , there was one on the black pearl 14 1000.... here is the ones i drove today. The black pearl had the MSA bead locks on it. and a emp front bumper I know edge will scold me for this review. but i actually went to buy the 14 black pearl , but after driving that new 15 xp 1000 i just could not do it. I had to believe in that 15 a lot cause i can get the 14 for almost $1500 less , but i would still choose the 15 [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

its pretty bad ass Ron , I would of never believed there was much difference from one year to the next. But i guess 14 being the first year , they learned some stuff and made changes , even though in a picture they look the same. if you ride both , you would see what i am saying. I am sure the 16 will be even better. At a price that is....

The red looks nice but i hate all that white in it. A graphics kit is $350 it self... and then the cost of powder coating the springs. I am just going to wait and see what the 2 new colors will be.... Bush , seems you will get your 900 S 4seater at Christmas or Jan..

| I forgot to mention , they have changed something in the steering between the 14 and 15 models. The 15 steering is easier than the 14 , The 15 is like my S with unisteer power steering. you can drive it going slow with one finger. but it gets tighter as you go faster... | |

| You might want to research these items you are talking about a little more instead of believing some smoke a sales person blew up your hind end lol. Im sure they changed some things for the better but one I just reccently found out is they want back to the plastic sprag in the front diff on the 15 and we all know how well those worked out. | |

i seen where they are talking about that on rzrforums. if the diff is built like the 800 diff its easy to change. wonder if its the same as the 800? i have a aluminum one i took out of my 09 rzr when i crashed it.

| you cant really judge the steering between those two, one with factory wheels and one with after market, the beadlocks look to have different offsets, that can make them feel different. | |

I don't think there is an inch different in the wheels. The steering is some what much easier to turn. So i don't thing thats it...

I don't listen to salesman , I build shit that runs 200 miles per hour , I dont need to listen to anyone. I look for my self. I may wear glasses but i ant blind... i put my hand around the axles and there much bigger.... You can see the ball joints look beefer . and you can look and see the steering is bigger. and it just flat out sounds better when you step on it. as for how they run , I have no reason to lie. I wanted the black pearl.... Take your Happy ass to the dealer and get in one and blast off. Then come back and we will have this discussion again. As for the front diff it has not been proven yet i read the talk. But you do know they make phenolic plastic that is now stronger than steel.. They most likely did it cause people said the front diff at 30 MPH in a 14 sounded like marbles rolling around in it. I think a 14 is a fine machine. and if i had one would i run out and get a 15 , probably not. I would just fix the things i did not like. at 10.1 compression 107 HP is more than any of us will ever need. But 11.1 and 110 , just feels much better... And the clutch is much nicer. I was just stating that the 15 is updated in many ways , in my opinion from driving both of them. Not having either one. i think the difference is worth spending the extra for the 15. That is all i am saying.... it ant about the 3 HP , what its about is. In the 900 S at 75 HP will out run a XP 900 with 88 That has now been proven. I think what ever there doing in the clutching , they did it to the 15 1000 , plus the more compression bigger cams and more HP. and its just stronger.... Now if they will just come out with a color i like..... But for the record. The black pearl you have. I still think it is the best looking 1000 they have made thus far. in my opinion of course.....

| Chris I have been a Machinist for 17 years I have machined about every type of material their is and allot of exotics and their is no way a plastic can be stronger than a good grade of steel, Ti or AL in the shape and designe and function of that sprag. Take my background and experience on that. Reports that the drive line is still loud on the 15s also. As far as HP goes these things are made on a production line and I would be willing to bet HP could vary as much a 5hp from machine to machine. I said in tire post that the stock clutching is lacking so they may have very well addressed that. Axels?? I have never had a stock axle on anything that would hold up to my type of riding. Dont take me wrong I want you to get the one you want but just trying to clear the smoke. I think you should get the black one though so you can be like me | |

| The fucking 2016 1200 is going to smoke a 14 or a 15, Polaris is always making changes, sometimes it works out good sometimes not, I doubt they would up grade the power while downgrading the diff, they must feel it will hold up, everyone looses sight of one thing, its all about the dollar, broken shit costs them millions of dollars in warranty work, that said I watched Harley change a cam bearing from a full roller to one with only 8 roller pins, price difference on the two bearings was 6 cents, but that multiplied by at the time 365,000 bikes a year was a huge savings, except they didn't hold up and harley ended up loosing millions in warranty repair before changing back to the old design. | |

That is all i was saying in the first place. Gunny is right , as long as the economy don't tank like last time , Polaris will continue to make improvements and and the 2016 will even be better..... As for having one like yours , I ant sure that's a good idea , Cause Jerry would be following me around all the time thinking it was you, and wanting me to ride with him all the time......

| Jerry says he is getting the Highlifter version but I kinda doubt it. I think the last time he rode with me was about 8 months ago when we were behind Redneckranger on 16. Mitchell got a 14 1000 a couple weeks ago and Stacy got the new 900s last week. | |

Mitchell got a 14 1000 a couple weeks ago and Stacy got the new 900s last week. Damn you riding buddies are stepping up.... I wish stacy would come and give a review of the new 900-S. They had some down at Richy power sports when i went and drove the 1000's , I wish i had of test drove one just to see what it was like. I hear its bad ass. But i was in 1000 mode when i was there... Everyone just says the 1000 rides a lot smother , and thats what i want. plush ride.... if Jerry gets a high lifter , his wife better pony up , There over 23 grand. I sat in one. The differences i can see are , obviously it has a 2 inch high lifter kit on it. they say it has a little lower first gear or low gear, because it has huge mud tires on it. and it has a high lifter snorkel kit. and all cage and bumpers painted brite orange.... it cool looking if you like a lot of orange. but its not really what i would want. I really have no plans to sink a 24 thousand dollar machine in as deep of mud i can find. But folks do it every day.

| no the amount of snow we get wouldn't need one but once every 10 years, most years if it does at all its gone soon as the sun comes out but every 8 to 10 years we get a foot or so. | |
