Just wandering if you guys are aware of a 2" slit in the pcv tube . Found it the other day on mine . Turns out they put it there to relive pressure if it freezes or gets stopped up. Looks like a good way for water or worse to enter the system to me. Mine will be changed .

no worries, that is the crank vent tube, the system blows out and has a one way valve on the motor, no way to suck anything into it. the slit is there for a reason, like you stated, leave it as it came is the best move.
